Piroctone Olamine
Piroctone olamine is a substance with antifungal properties, with demonstrated activity against the fungus Malassezia furfur, primarily responsible for seborrhoeic dermatitis. Sesderma uses it in products for this skin ailment. It also has antioxidant properties.
Dose: Apply on wet hair and scalp with a gentle massage, leave for 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

The Piroctone Olamine is known for its bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties, showing a specific activity against Pityrosporum ovale, present in the skin and is associated with dandruff and scalp oil. The sebum regulating action is due to its content in Tioxolone and Hammamelis which by their presence in sulfur also has keratolytic and bacteriostatic properties. Panthenol can maintain optimum moisture in the hair, ensuring flexibility. Vitamin E protects hair keratin from oxidative damage and discoloration produced by the sun. Seskavel Oily-dandruff shampoo relieves itching, prevents irritation, flaking and grease. Maintains softness, shine and volume of the hair, leaving shiny, silky and easy to comb.
Dose: Apply on the scalp and wet hair with warm water beforehand. Perform a gentle massage and rinse thoroughly. Perform a second wash. Leave product on for 2 minutes without rubbing and rinse with warm water. Use twice a week for two months, according to the degree of oil. A weekly application is recommended as maintenance treatment and to prevent relapse. Information Contains a combination and optimum concentration of active ingredients which act effectively in the treatment of seborrhea and flaking of the scalp. Lithium gluconate 4% has a synergistic effect along with Piroctone olamine in the inhibition of proliferation of Pityrosporum ovale. Salicylic acid and lactic acid normalize the desquamation process in seborrheic skins with their exfoliation and keratolytic properties. Contains moisturizing and soothing agents (licorice extract) formulated in an excipient (hexamidine Disethionate) specificly for seborrheic problems with antimicrobial properties. May also be used on the face and ears.
